The Tessitura Network, Inc., the leading global provider of enterprise software technology, services and community interaction for Arts and Cultural organizations launched a suite of products and services. The new products complement their core product, Tessitura Software® from Impresario, LLC.
Product offerings announced for Tessitura users include:
T-Stats™, Business Intelligence at the Speed of Thought. This sophisticated data mining tool complements and enhances the extensive Tessitura Software reporting and query capabilities. T-Stats enables Tessitura users to browse their data utilizing a separate Microsoft SQL™ database that is populated with data from their own Tessitura databases. There are four Microsoft Analysis Services cubes (Memberships, Contributions, Tickets and Packages) built on the data warehouse, and a custom-developed cube browser that the end-user can utilize to view and study and analyze their data. Analysis can be performed in seconds to track successes, uncover opportunities and much more. While development costs were extensive, the nonprofit Network model allowed this new service to be licensed at no charge to all Tessitura Software license holders.
N-SCAN™ - N-Scan is a cost effective venue access control and patron tracking system. It was written from the ground up to interact exclusively with Tessitura Software. As its core function, N-Scan allows barcode scanning of tickets using a variety of Symbol™ handheld devices and updates the Tessitura database in real-time over wireless networks. An ‘Exit Mode’ can also be used to scan tickets out and in again for re-entry. Patron-centric messages, entry ‘watch’ lists based on patron attributes stored in Tessitura and numerous other special features make this a valuable service. Don Youngberg, Network Vice President, Consulting & Installation advises, "unlike other companies in the industry our license holders can use print-at-home ticket functionality without paying per ticket fees. Utilization of this service enables improved customer service and takes costs out of the order fulfillment process. Many users are reporting that over 60% of tickets purchased online utilize print-at-home functionality and consumers value the service."
RADR™ (Remote Access Disaster Recovery) – This new service provides a disaster recovery option for those license holders of Tessitura Software who are looking for alternatives. This service provides a "warm" backup deployment option via a secure data center to not only backup their data but to also have their users up and running in a matter of hours via PCs accessing the database over the internet in the event of a crisis. Bob Bell, VP of Support and Services commented that “we continually were asked about options for use of Tessitura in the event of a natural disaster, hardware or network failure or other external factor. We decided to offer an attractively priced service directly for our users and have tested it for over a year with a very large major arts center. This complements our existing RAMP (Remote Access Managed Plan) offering which offers Tessitura Software and bundled database administration in a hosted environment."
TN Express Web Ticketing™ is a new offering that provides functionality for ticketing, account management, and donation processing in a standard purchase path product that can be tailored to the look and feel of existing client content websites and can typically be fully operational in 2-3 weeks. Options for simple best seating or rich select-your-own-seat are available. This product is offered for an affordable monthly service fee. Kristin Tigart, Director of Internet and Community Services, advises that "the Tessitura Software web application program interface (API) is incredibly feature rich. While many of our users want a highly customized web transaction approach and have been very successful, we were also hearing from organizations that wanted to go live in a hurry, look good and have a secure environment. This is why TN Express Web Ticketing was developed. We also have a very talented group of preferred web integrators and technology partners who can provide everything from integration to complete e-commerce strategy and website redesign. Thus we are now a very full service provider. Many of our license holders are bringing in well over 50% of all their ticket and fundraising revenue online using the Tessitura API."
The not-for-profit business model of the Tessitura Network serves arts and cultural organizations including theatres, museums, performing arts centers, ballets and dance companies, operas, symphony orchestras, festivals, universities and others. Jack Rubin, Tessitura Network President, commented "the comprehensive services and products of the Network are all designed to assist our users in improving their patron and donor services and improve the efficiency of their operations. We are a user-owned company and thus offer the products and services that are most requested. We do so not with a motive of profit, but to benefit our member organizations and fulfill the mission under which the company was formed."
