FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What materials may I bring with me to the Conference?
The Tessitura Learning & Community Conference is not a trade show and we ask that no free-standing displays or booths be used. You may bring collateral materials or samples to distribute to those who visit you and are welcome to use table-top signs and table cloths. The Tessitura Network will provide a table, chairs, table cloth and skirting, WiFi, basic electricity and signage.
How do I get a Conference schedule and list of attendees?
You will receive a Conference notebook with a roster, detailed schedule and other important details upon check-in at the Conference itself.
What Conference sessions may I attend?
Sponsors are invited to attend any of the Peer-to-Peer Presentations and Training sessions during the Conference. However our Conference attendees have asked that those outside of the Tessitura Network Membership (including Conference Sponsors) not attend Discussion sessions (including “Next Generation”) as it may inhibit open conversation between attendees. An exception to this request may occur when a Sponsor is specifically invited to a discussion session or is confirmed as a subject matter expert/guru for the session.
Other than Peer-to-Peer presentations, what else can sponsors participate in at the Conference?
In case learning about Tessitura isn’t enough, the Tessitura Learning & Community Conference offers several other opportunities for fun! Sponsors can feel free to join in on the Tessitura 5K Fun Run/Walk (but prizes are for our Network Members only), sing with the Tessitura Network Chorus, play with the Tessiturians Band, start the day with Early Morning Stretch-itura (Yoga and Pilates) or energize the afternoon with Zumba. Sponsors are also invited to the Opening Session, Neighborhood Networking, and the Closing Session including the announcement of next year’s Conference. Contact us at conference@tessituranetwork.com to register for these special activities.
What interactions will I have with Conference attendees?
Our Conference attendees are happy to seek out vendors / sponsors for information on your services, and your attendance at TLCC facilitates an ideal opportunity for them to meet with you. The Sponsor Lab and private meeting rooms (available at higher sponsorship levels or for an additional fee) provides a central location to meet with clients or prospects. As in the past you’ll also have the opportunity to connect with attendees at the many networking events during TLCC.
During the Conference Intermission, attendees will have even more opportunities to meet with you if they choose. What is the Conference Intermission? We listened to feedback from our user community about not having enough time to meet with sponsors in the Lab or schedule meetings without missing Conference activities, so we'll take a break from our usual programming on Tuesday afternoon for an “intermission.” During this time you may elect to do the following:
- Schedule one-on-one meetings with current clients or prospects
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations
- Offer training
- Organize small group meetings
Conference sponsors at the Bronze Level ($5,000) and above will have a reserved room for their use during the Conference Intermission. Please contact Barbara at bmazergross@tessituranetwork.com if you are interested in upgrading your sponsorship and reserving a special dedicated room for use during the entire Conference week.
Please note that at the request of our Conference attendees, the Conference does not provide an opportunity for overt, aggressive or unappreciated sales or marketing initiatives from vendors. We ask that you respect this request, and failure to do so may make your company ineligible for sponsorship in future years. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding this request.
May I contact TLCC attendees after the Conference?
We ask Conference sponsors to not contact Tessitura users post-Conference using any contact information obtained at the Conference, unless initiated by the attendee. For example, you cannot send an e-blast to the entire roster but you can do personalized follow up with contacts you make at the Conference. We also ask that you agree not to use the Conference as endorsement for marketing and sales activities that would occur after the completion of the Conference (such as saying “endorsed by Tessitura at their 2012 Conference.”)
Note that all materials, handouts, rosters, and other information distributed at the Tessitura Learning & Community Conference are confidential and proprietary, and may not be used outside the Conference or provided to any outside parties by any physical, electronic or other means.
