Additional Products & Services

Other items to help you get the most from Tessitura

Tessitura Software and the accompanying Web API are only the beginning of the products and services available from the Network. Various products and services such as hosting (via RAMP), disaster recovery (via RADR), access control (via N-Scan), consulting for report writing, custom screens, training, usage analysis, web optimization and much more are offered at special Network member-only rates.

Other services such as email deployment (via TMS) and kiosks (via Radiant Systems) are available wth highly negotiated arrangements from Network preferred providers and technology partners.

 Data Analytics: t-stats™

T-Stats™ is a Business Intelligence application that complements and enhances Tessitura Software reporting and query capabilities. T-Stats allows a savvy, functionally-capable, but non-technical Tessitura end-user to browse the data and create their own reports in seconds in order to do analysis, track successes, uncover opportunities and much more.

T-Stats Data Analysis - Business Intelligence at the Speed of Thought

This “data warehouse” application was developed by one of our senior Technology Partners, JCA (Jacobson Consulting Applications, Inc) on behalf of Tessitura Network.  As a benefit to Tessitura licensees, this amazing program is provided free of charge (but with the requirement that a separate T-Stats support agreement be signed with JCA).  More information is available in the one sheet (PDF).

 tessitura hosting service: ramp™

RAMP™ (Remote Access Managed Plan) is the right solution for organizations that do not have the desire or wherewithal to host their own network of servers.  It is an optional plan to deploy Tessitura Software to your desktops via the Internet. Your Tessitura Software database is administered on a remote server in a secure data facility by Tessitura Network, and hardware and Microsoft SQL database services are provided under this plan as a bundled service.

RAMP™ is not a separate browser-based product, nor is it “Tessitura Light”; it is the exact same software you would utilize if loaded on your own in-house servers.

See the RAMP™ by Tessitura Q&A for all the details.

operational backup & disaster recovery: radr™

RADR (Remote Access Disaster Recovery) is a “warm” back up option combined with desktop deployment capability if and when there is a need to deploy to designated PC’s via the internet.   It is essentially a “warm” site which can be activated in four hours and is a place for Tessitura clients to store alternating sets of SQL backups so that at any point there is data from the last two backups.

Please review the RADR™ by Tessitura Q&A for more information.

Access Control: N-SCAN™

N-Scan™ is a cost-effective venue access control and patron tracking system developed from the ground up to interact exclusively with Tessitura.  As you might expect, with N-Scan™ you can scan bar codes printed on tickets (either from the box office or at home) via wireless, handheld devices that updates the Tessitura database in a real-time environment.

There are multitudes of additional features, including the ability to have patron messages displayed through the use of Tessitura customer service issues, having key members of your staff notified whenever pre-chosen patrons are scanned into the system facility and viewing site customizable real-time sales and attendance information directly on the
handheld device (subject to security permissions).

This is an optional feature that can be added at any time.  Please see the N-Scan™ General Overview for more information.

Print at Home Ticketing

Tessitura includes the ability for your customers to print their tickets on their home computer.  This paper can include a bar code if so desired, which can then be scanned into Tessitura either via a standalone scanner after the event begins or in real-time mode via N-Scan™.  There is no additional charge for this feature.

TN Express Web™

This expressway to real-time web transactions is fully integrated with your Tessitura database and existing website. This program allows you to leverage your Tessitura system and the web with minimal cost, time and overhead, providing affordable and quick-to-market web functionality.

TN Express Web™ is geared toward an organization that needs a straightforward and secure Tessitura web purchase path without costly customization but with many options. The graphical approach matches with your website, thus maintaining your branding and visual appeal. Overall, TN Express Web™ provides a comprehensive set of features with multiple tiers for you to choose from based on the needs of your organization.

An explanation of these various tiers and associated features can be found in the TN Express Web™ Infosheet.

Kiosks

Tessitura includes an interface which can be used for connectivity to kiosks manufactured by Radiant Systems.  These standalone or wall-mounted devices can be used for Will Call pickup and/or general ticket sales and include a monitor, thermal ticket printer and wireless communications device.  Each kiosk can be configured remotely from a central dashboard, and a basic configuration schematic is included (additional graphical or functionality requirements would require some custom design work).

So if you are looking for a reasonably priced method to help alleviate overcrowding in your lobby or to free up your box office personnel for other activities, then take a serious look at the Radiant Kiosks sheet for more information.

Payment Processing

In each country, Tessitura ties to your credit card processing via middleware that connects your Tessitura database to your processors via secure processes.  The Tessitura Network has a confidential preferred pricing arrangement for licensees and the license is acquired directly from the middleware company.  All programs feature the ability to utilize multiple merchant accounts.

The current middleware in each region is listed below with links to further information:

North America - TranScend from Intrix Technology

United Kingdom and Ireland - Comms XL from Transaction Network Services

Australia - OCV from PC-EFTPOS

New Zealand - DPS from Payment Express

Email Marketing

Tessitura’s List Management functionality allows you to save any list to a file for export to an outside email marketing product or company.

A more elegant and fully functioned solution is Tessitura Messaging Service (TMS), created by POP Multimedia of Seattle, WA, a Tessitura Senior Technology Partner.  Designed to integrate directly with your Tessitura database, TMS allows you to create your own “e-blasts” on a wide variety of topics, ranging from special announcements to newsletters to standard marketing promotions.  These campaigns are then blasted out by POP, with all segments recorded directly in Tessitura.

TMS works as with “no risk, no obligation” model as there are no set-up or support fees; you simply pay as you go on a per email basis.  So now there is no more guessing as to whether or not a certain email campaign worked; you’ll have the cold, hard facts right in front of you.

More data can be reviewed on the TMS Overview (PDF).

Ticket Printers

Tessitura has a long and solid relationship with Boca Systems, the industry leader in thermal ticket printers.  The application works with other thermal ticket printers that utilize the Boca Ticket Ghostwriter language, but Tessitura cannot guarantee the success of any printer other than an authentic Boca.

Special pricing has been arranged with Boca.  In addition, we allow our clients to order their printers directly from Boca, with no “middle-man markup” involved (since we’re non-profit we don’t care about that element of the sale).

Rapid Addressing & Verification

Tessitura is compatible with QAS QuickAddress software, which either validates addresses against official U.S. Postal Service records during entry into a database or validates existing addresses in a database.  QAS also cleans existing databases and makes sure they stay clean going forward.  It is currently available in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. and we will be happy to provide contact information upon request.

Venue Management

Although Tessitura captures a great amount of information about venues, events and performances, it is not a true venue/facility management software application.  To remedy this situation we have an alignment with Artifax Software, a world leader in this field.  Integration data points between the two products have been developed so that the most important information that affects both programs travels between them.

This full-featured application can be reviewed in detail by studying the Artifax Flyer (pdf).

Outsourced Phone Services

There are times when you might need additional personnel help, perhaps due to a large onsale or during subscription renewal season.  Or maybe your box office usually closes at 5pm on non-event nights but you come in the next morning only to find a long line of voice messages. These types of lost sales opportunities can be avoided by outsourcing to Turnstyles Ticketing, a multi-purpose ticketing support resource servicing the performing arts industry.

When you simply don’t have enough hands on deck, a program like Turnstyles might make a major difference.  Feel free to research and then contact them at www.turnstylesticketing.com.
