Tessitura Network is launching a new online event series to inspire the global arts and culture community during the current crisis.

Called Innovators in Conversation: Advancing the Future of Arts and Culture, the series will present weekly video chats with an industry leader in conversation with Andrew Recinos, President of Tessitura Network.

Guest speakers are leaders from the worldwide Tessitura community who are finding ways to navigate through widespread closures and a rapidly changing economy. Each conversation will last 30 minutes and will be followed by 15 minutes of live Q&A. Guests will share ideas that have worked, tactics that haven’t worked, and what they have learned. They will also share how they are thinking about the future.

Andrew Recinos

“I believe the 2020 Word of the Year for Arts and Culture will be ‘uncertainty,’” said Recinos. “As Tessitura leadership considered how to support our sector in the midst of such great uncertainty, we decided to return to our roots.  Our company and community has grown and thrived by sharing innovative ideas. Innovators in Conversation provides a way to amplify tangible ideas of visionary leaders in our community. It is our expectation that the ideas from these innovators will help our sector navigate through this age of uncertainty.”

The first three guests for Innovators in Conversation are:

Scott Stulen
CEO and President, Philbrook Museum of Art
Tuesday, April 28

Annie Burridge
General Director and CEO, Austin Opera
Tuesday, May 5

Claire Spencer
Chief Executive Officer, Arts Centre Melbourne
Tuesday, May 12

The recorded conversations will be published on tessituranetwork.com/blog for future viewing. Additional conversations will be announced in the coming weeks.

The public can view all upcoming programs and register for individual events at tessituranetwork.com/webinars.
