David Pearce

Tessitura Network, the leader in technology for the arts and cultural sector, announced today that David Pearce will join the global leadership team as Managing Director, Europe. In this new role, Pearce will serve as strategic leader for the Tessitura European team. He will direct the entire team to provide exemplary support and service for Tessitura member organizations, while continuing to grow the Tessitura community in Europe.

Pearce has served on the executive leadership team at Wales Millennium Centre since its opening in 2004, most recently as Strategic Director, Operations and Performance.

“David has been a valued and active member of the Tessitura community for 14 years,” said Jack Rubin, CEO and Co-Founder of the Tessitura Network. “He was instrumental in bringing Tessitura software to Wales Millennium Centre, and to Europe. David has extensive strategic expertise and leadership experience, and we are thrilled to have him leading Tessitura Network in Europe.”

Pearce’s achievements at Wales Millennium Centre are many, and his work on a number of strategic developments there has resulted in the Centre receiving national awards for customer service, including the Queen’s Award for Enterprise and the UK Theatre Most Welcoming Theatre award in 2008 and 2014 (the only UK theatre to have won the award twice). In addition, he brought the food and beverage operation in house, and it has been recognised by both the Michelin and Good Food Guides. He has developed a successful fundraising programme and has overseen continual improvements in operational delivery and efficiency that have led to Centre’s sustainable business model.

“Tessitura’s global success is due to its unique culture of innovation, service, and community focused specifically on the arts and culture sector,” said Pearce. “I am honoured to join the existing strong team to continue the Network’s presence in Europe, and to help Tessitura members improve their business through Tessitura software and thought leadership.”
