Managing STEM programs with Tessitura at Liberty Science Center

Tessitura has been great because it’s the first time we’ve got all of our information programs in one place.

Basically, now all of our programs are in Tessitura. We keep track of attendance, we keep track of who funded them, and then we can see what we have to staff and then report the results.

Managing Staff

Previously, we had different databases, and some were managed on spreadsheets and so forth. We can now see everything that the department is doing in one place. That’s really helpful, particularly since we trade staff among the programs. We try to do as much cross-training as possible so it really helps to know so-and-so is going to have a lot of programs on this day, so I might not take as many programs that day because they’re going to need some of my staff.

“I’m really impressed with the company and its business model.”

Easier Reporting

Reporting is so much easier. It used to take us forever to pull data out of the old database, and now it comes out whenever you want it, which is really, really nice. You don’t have to put away a good chunk of time to try to mine the data.

Impressive Business Model

I’m really impressed with the company and its business model. It’s really unusual. And anyone that I have interacted with from the Tessitura Network has just been so helpful and eager to try to understand the issue and to help out. That has really been appreciated.
